FREDDIE  PRINZE, JR. Actor
D.O.B.: 3/8/76, (Pisces)

Mother: Italian-American

Father: Puerto Rican/Hungarian Jewish

On his mixed background:

"They wouldn’t even speak to me in Spanish. Because I’m not Spanish enough. Now, when they need something then I’m very Spanish. Then they need me when they need crap. And if you’re Dominican? Forget it. You’re out the door. So if one day my people could kind of pull together, that would be nice. If they don’t, then I’ll just claim my mom’s Italian half. I’ll just go in that direction."

"I speak better Italian than any New Yorker in this town. They butcher the language so much. It makes my mom sick. My mom speaks fluent Italian and is very proud of her roots. Didn’t let me watch The Godfather until I was sixteen because she hated the fact that everyone thought Italians were mobsters – even though some of her family I think were. (laughs) Her brother. But I spoke Spanish and Italian before I spoke English. I didn’t learn English until I was like ten."

Interesting fact:

  • He collects comic books.

  • Married to actress Sarah Michelle Gellar

  • His father, comedian Freddie Prinze committed suicide when Freddie was 10 months old. He was raised by his mother and grandmother

CORBIN BLEU, Actor/Model/Dancer
D.O.B.:
02/21/1989 (Pisces)
Mother:  Italian-American

Father:  Jamaican-American

On his mixed background:

"I believe that it's a beautiful time right now. I walk in the street and I definitely see more mixed races which is awesome," He told Blackvoices.com. " I grew up in New York and during the early parts of my life, it wasn't looked upon positively. When my parents were together they received dirty looks, but I think it's a time right now that's blossoming and accepted. Cultures need to come together because every culture brings something so beautiful about themselves. Putting them all in the pot and mixing them together can only make something brilliant.

Interesting facts:

  • He is perhaps best known for his roles in the Flight 29 Down television series and the High School Musical

Father: African-American

On his mixed background:

"I was teased for a lot of things when I was growing up, and so much of it was confusing. I was black, but I wasn't black. I was Korean, but I wasn't Korean," he told the Tribune Review.
I didn't know who I was. I didn't understand it."

Ward has come a long way from that "confused" little boy. A wide receiver for the NFL's Pittsburgh Steeler's and voted MVP of Super Bowl XL, Ward is today a staunch advocate for mixed-race children in Korea, developing an international offshoot of his Helping Hands Foundation to raise awareness of the prejudice against mixed-race Asians.

"There is nothing I can do about the past. The future is what it is really all about," Ward said. "If they only like me in South Korea because I am the Super Bowl MVP -- fine. Let's use that. Let's go out and take that and give back to the biracial kids. Let's make the most of this chance."

Father: Black, Ghanian

On his mixed background:

"Me and my brother were always the only black kids," he said about his experience growing up in Germany. "Racism is universal, but it's very different in different cultures. Where I grew up, racism was more about ignorance and a lack of knowledge than a controlled and focused prejudice. So, I was subjected to the type of racism where people called me names, but I had a lot of great friends, too.

"Overall, it was a great environment to grow up in. The place I was raised was in the Black Forest and looks like The Sound of Music. We had a great childhood, full of fun and outdoor adventure. It was very sane and well-rounded. My mother always told us we were perfect the way we were, and that we wouldn't have to worry about what people said because there are just a lot of ignoramuses in the world, and that you will encounter them until the day you die. That was her approach, and now when I look back, I can really appreciate it."
